[ENGLISH] First Preview - Bostalsee Regularity - 06. April 2024

The Motorsport Club (MSC) Obere Nahe e. V. is expanding its event program! We want to establish a rolling car museum right in the heart of our well-known holiday region. A special experience for competitors and spectators. With the support of our previous partners and the two new partners Golfpark Bostalsee and Hotel & Spa Seezeitlodge, we are offering the first Bostalsee Regularity on April 6th, 2024!

In addition to our rallies and our orientation drives, which have been firmly established for decades and have always received top marks, we are entering a new field in automobile sport. We are addressing the ever-growing number of owners of historic vehicles and offering them a competitive event. During our regularity you have the opportunity to present your vehicles without putting excessive strain on the material and driver. As part of the event, interested can also present their classic in tourist class on selected routes without taking part in the sporting competition. The fine mix of historical mobility, automobile sport, competition and a “feel-good atmosphere” offers participants a unique and unforgettable experience.

The Bostalsee Regularity is not a rally in the usual sense. The event is not intended to achieve top speeds or best times. It's a regularity for cars and the average speed is a maximum of 50 km/h.

The event takes place in different categories. In the two categories of the “RT” class, the focus is on the regularity tests. Over 180 kilometers of regularity tests with a total length of more than 350 kilometers have to be completed on the great roads in Northern Saarland and the Hunsrück region. Parts of the route were used at the former Rallye Deutschland, counted for the World Rally Championship. The longest test stretches over 30 kilometers. The teams can choose two variants for the roadbook, in the RT-T class with precise tulip symbols or in the RT-M class with map navigation and orientation tasks.

In the “T” category, the focus is purely on driving and some small tasks are planned. The total distance in this class will be around 250 kilometers.

Our sports director Marc Stoll is responsible for the route. He is the Clerk of the Course and should be known to the expert field of participants, e.g. as a co-driver in the winning team in the “Olympia Rally Revival 72” 2022 together with Jörg Pöhlemann and with fourth place at the Ypres Historic Regularity 2023.

The timing is carried out using the latest GPS technology. The results are available live on the internet. Lunch, coffee break and dinner are included in the entry fee. Only vehicles built up to 2004 are permitted for the event. The starting field is limited to 60 participants.

The center of the event is at the Bostalsee Golf Park, close to the neighbouring countries France, Luxembourg, and Belgium. A meeting and the award ceremony will take place in the restaurant “No. 10” of our event partner. The start and finish takes place at the associated parking area. Overnight stays are recommended at our partner hotel, the multiple award-winning Hotel & Spa “Seezeitlodge” on Bostalsee, which is known far beyond the state border.

Information about the event can be found on our website www.bostalsee-regularity.de. We also keep interested teams up to date on Facebook and Instagram.
